Homemade Nut Milk

Nuts (unsalted, unroasted) Almonds or Cashews                    1  cup
Water (filtered if possible)                                                        4  cups
Dates optional for sweetness

Soak nuts (and a few dates if using) for 4-6 hours or overnight
Once soaked, rinse thoroughly, discarding soaking water
Blend the 4 cups of filtered water and the nuts (and dates) in a blender on high till thoroughly blended
Makes 1 litre and lasts up to 3 days in the fridge. You can use more or less water to vary the thickness of your raw nut milk, depending on your personal preference, but in general, you want a 1:4 ratio of nuts to water. Experiment 🙂
