Physio experience

I graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2003 in South Africa and continued to complete post graduate training in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy in 2009. Since then I have worked in South Africa, England and Australia.

I believe that as a physiotherapist…

It is important to base treatment on a thorough assessment and clinical reasoning process. I endeavour to understand the biopsychosocial framework of each patient enabling me to provide a holistic management approach. I also believe that it is important for the patient to be an active participant in their rehabilitation and therefore must understand the nature of their condition. I strive to improve my clinical skills and enhance my knowledge through further learning.

My experience and continued learning has facilitated my dedication to the private practice setting, with a special interest in spinal and sports injuries. My management approach involves manual hands-on treatment together with individualized exercises. I also incorporate clinical pilates into my treatment thereby encouraging self-management and patient independence. I am a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and I belong to the Musculoskeletal national group.
