Physio Experience

In 1993 I graduated from Cumberland College of Heath Sciences (Sydney University) with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and two years working at The Royal North Shore Hospital. I then spent a year travelling and working in London and on my return to Australia I spent 8 years working at The Mater Hospital Physiotherapy in Crow’s Nest, Sydney. We moved to Melbourne in 2005 and I have been working in private practice in the fields of hydrotherapy, orthopaedics, clinical Pilates, respiratory and general musculoskeletal physiotherapy since.

I believe that as a physiotherapist…

my role is to treat my patients, but more importantly to work together with them, towards improving and ultimately regaining their highest level of physical capability and function.

Specialist areas…

My area of special interest is in hydrotherapy – I completed the Aquatic Physiotherapy Level 3 course in 2012 and I’ve been fortunate enough to spend much of my career over the past 20 years practising in this speciality. In addition I have also focused on the areas of clinical Pilates and respiratory physiotherapy, treating chest conditions such as bronchiectasis, pneumonia and emphysema.

I keep active by…

Going to the gym, jogging, looking after our three children and partaking in my pilates and aquatic physiotherapy sessions.
